La Dez'Alp Restaurant Review

Wide variety of dishes at reasonable prices with warm & welcoming service

featured in Restaurant reviews Author Matt Hein, Ski Editor Updated

Located just down the hill from the Tourist Information Office, heading towards the Mairie, this restaurant offers great quality food at reasonable prices. It seats up to 70 people. I popped in for lunch after hearing good things from some of the locals about the food here.

The decor is new and fresh with lots of cow-hide, cow bells and traditional oak, with a large central fireplace which keeps the place really warm and cosy. There are great views from the back where we'd recommend you get a table, as you can see all the way up to Avoriaz on a clear day.

The service was warm and welcoming and the staff were attentive, giving me enough time and space to enjoy my meal.

The menu is a mixture of Savoyard, pizzas, risotto, pasta, meat and fish - so something for everyone's tastes, and it would suit groups, families or a couple looking for somewhere a bit more romantic. I opted for the risotto St Jaques, something you don't see on every menu and something that would fill me up as I only had time for a main course. It was beautifully presented and a good size portion too. No scrimping on the St Jacques either, which I was very happy about!
Prices range from 15-30 euros for a main course, 34 euros for the a la carte menu, and a bottle of house wine starts from 16 euros. It may be more expensive than some other Morzine restauarants, but it's definitely worth the extra euros for prompt service and great tasting food - a visit is highly recommended!
